Engineering Career
Posted by Jona from Bluffton, SC, US on September 20, 2009

I am planning on studying Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech.

What type of job titles are out there for an Engineer.

What type of fields in Mechanical design can i persue?

Is a state licensed required for an Engineer? From the ASME

I hope these are not too many questions.

Jona

Jona, GT is one of the leading schools for mechanical engineering. Reading through their catalog and their web site will help you see the range of fields you can pursue.

A state license is not required, but is highly desirable, and engineering schools make it possible for you to study for and take the tests when you are ready.

The best way to be sure about a career choice is to talk to a number of engineers and ask them their thoughts.

Warmly,
Joel
